In the Wind | Large
âïž Let this painting's story â touch your own
From My Personal Journal
Â
Some paintings arrive like storms. This one came like a breeze.
I didnât overthink it. I didnât plan much. I just followed the movementâthe soft lean of petals, the quiet bend of stems, the way the wind carries things when no one is watching.
These flowers werenât meant to be arranged. They were meant to float.
Thatâs where the name came fromâIN THE WIND. It just⊠appeared. Like the image itself. Like the feeling behind it.
I imagined them driftingâweightless, effortless, without expectation. They werenât fighting the current. They werenât trying to land anywhere specific. They were just moving. Trusting.
And in that movement, there was peace.
I think about how often we tie ourselves in knots. Always chasing, always controlling, always clenching our fists around outcomes. But maybe the real strength is in letting go. In softening. In moving with life instead of against it.
Thatâs what I wanted to paint.
The background stayed grey and fluidâlike a sky that canât decide between sun and cloud. A middle ground. A moment of pause. Not sad. Not bright. Just⊠honest.
The daisies held their own, even in motion. Bright without trying. Present without demanding attention. I loved that about them.
One petals forward. One turns away. One barely hangs on. And somehow, together, they still feel whole. Like people. Like us.
I hope when someone sees this piece, they feel a little more room inside their chest. Like theyâve exhaled something they didnât know they were holding.
Maybe itâs a reminder that life isnât always meant to be planned. That beauty can exist in drift. That we donât need to know where weâre going to belong somewhere when we get there.
Some things arenât meant to be pinned down.
Theyâre meant to be carried.
In the wind.

My journey as an artist
...didnât start the way one might expect!
Â
I began not with brushes and paint, but as a single mother raising two beautiful daughters after the devastating loss of my husband at a young age.
My girls were just 7 and 12 at the time, and with no choice ...but to press forward.
I spent the next 25 years waiting tables.
Though life was challenging, my love for my daughters gave me strength and the dream of becoming an artist, something I had held in my heart since I was a child, stayed with me quietly in the background.
It wasnât until I retired and met Ian, during what I now call my golden years, that I finally had the time and space to pursue that long-held dream.Â
Â

Â
In 2022...
Ian and I set out to create beautiful paintings and the finest quality limited-editions, driven by a desire to make my self-taught art accessible to all.
We want people to experience the beauty of art
...without breaking the bank.
Now, with Ian by my side, I embraced the creativity I had kept hidden for so long, sharing it in a way that allows others to bring a piece of that journey into their own homesâaffordable, yet meaningful.
Â
âŠthat speaks to your emotions.
Â

Thank you for your generous support and kindness,
so very much appreciated.
