I remember the day I first imagined the scene now immortalized in "Enchanted Brook." It was a quiet afternoon, and the soft murmur of a nearby creek filled the air. The idea for the painting struck me like a sudden burst of inspiration, a vision that needed to be brought to life.

The initial sketches were simple, just outlines of a flowing brook framed by an arch of twisted, bare branches. These branches, dark and mysterious, seemed to form a natural gateway to another world.
